Roll’d Opens Third New Zealand Store at Botany Town Centre

Roll’d has continued its rapid New Zealand expansion, opening its third local restaurant at Botany Town Centre in Auckland.

The new store opened on 1 July 2026, following earlier launches at Sylvia Park and Westfield St Lukes. Its arrival brings the Australian Vietnamese fast-casual brand to South-East Auckland for the first time, marking another milestone in the growth of its New Zealand network.

Botany Town Centre, one of the region’s busiest retail and dining precincts, was a natural fit for the brand’s latest opening. The restaurant offers both dine-in and takeaway, giving shoppers and locals a convenient option for lunch, dinner or a quick meal.

To mark the occasion, Roll’d gave Aucklanders the chance to try its food for free, and the response was immediate, with queues stretching into the hundreds. As part of “Rollers Club Day,” customers could redeem a free bún bowl between 12pm and 2pm, followed by a free phở bowl between 5pm and 7pm, with one item available per phone number. The turnout was a clear sign of just how much appetite there is in South-East Auckland for the brand.

The full Roll’d menu is available at Botany, including freshly prepared banh mi, rice paper rolls, bao, Vietnamese salads, noodle salads and steaming bowls of pho. All dishes are based on traditional family recipes, including the pho recipe passed down by Mama Hoang, mother of Roll’d co-founder Bao Hoang.

The opening also expands Roll’d’s catering service across South-East Auckland, with catering now available within a 12-kilometre radius of the Botany restaurant, covering Howick, Botany Downs, Flat Bush, Dannemora, Northpark, Cockle Bay, Mellons Bay, Bucklands Beach, Half Moon Bay and Manukau.

Catering options include the Roll’d Bestseller Box, a selection of mini bowls, rice paper rolls, banh mi and bao designed for office lunches, meetings, events and group occasions.

Roll’d was founded in Melbourne in 2012 by Bao Hoang, Ray Esquieres and Tin Ly. The business has since grown to more than 125 stores, becoming one of Australia’s most recognisable Vietnamese fast-casual brands.

The New Zealand rollout is being led by Mammoth Brands, a group with extensive experience establishing and operating hospitality brands locally, including Pita Pit, EGG’D, BOWL’D and Tuckr.
