2025 Pork Pie Charity Run – Driving Higher for KidsCan
Matt Woodley & Nathan Bonney Gear Up for the 2025 Pork Pie Charity Run – Driving Higher for KidsCan
The dynamic franchise sector duo, Matt Woodley and Nathan Bonney, are once again hitting the open roads of New Zealand for the 2025 Pork Pie Charity Run. What started as a one-off, bucket-list adventure in 2023 has quickly turned into a passion-driven mission to make a meaningful difference for Kiwi kids in need.
With the 2025 event on the horizon, Matt—CEO of Donovan Group, which operates the Coresteel and KiwiSpan networks—and Nathan of Iridium Partners, are determined to exceed their previous fundraising efforts. Their goal? To raise even more funds for KidsCan and create a lasting impact for children across New Zealand.
In their 2023 run, the pair not only completed the journey but also took home the trophy for raising the most funds, thanks to the generous support from the franchise sector. Despite their incredible efforts, they missed their ambitious $100,000 target. This time around, they’re rallying with even greater determination to ensure they surpass that milestone.
Once again, their trusty 1999 Mini Cooper, “Minty,” will take to the scenic backroads, serving as both a symbol of their dedication and a rallying point for those who wish to support the cause.
“We’re back to make a bigger impact,” said Nathan Bonney. “The Pork Pie Charity Run isn’t just about the drive—it’s about giving back to our communities, and we’re incredibly proud to do it for KidsCan. With the backing of generous Kiwis, we believe we can reach new heights and change even more lives.”
A boost to their campaign this year comes from Iridium Partners, which is once again supporting their efforts. Iridium’s commitment underscores the franchise sector’s ongoing dedication to philanthropy and community support.
Matt and Nathan are actively seeking sponsors, donations, and support from businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to contribute to this incredible cause. Every dollar raised goes directly to KidsCan, providing food, clothing, and essential resources to children who need them most.
“Minty may be small, but with New Zealand behind us, we’re ready to make a big difference,” added Matt Woodley. “We’ve seen firsthand how KidsCan transforms the lives of young Kiwis, and that drives us—literally and figuratively—to push even harder this year.”
The 2025 Pork Pie Charity Run will take 4 – 9 April, and Matt and Nathan are inviting all Kiwis to join their journey—whether through donations, sponsorships, or simply cheering them on from the sidelines as they pass through towns and cities.
